Thank you out of the bottom of my heart for visiting my website! I am Desiree the person behind Des Illustrates. 

​

Des Illustrates is an illustration business based in a little dutch town. I have a Patreon where I share my knowledge of illustrating and painting. As well as a little red bubble shop full of prints and stickers. 

​

I had set up Des Illustrates back in the winter of 2016 while I was studying biology. My passion and fascination for nature and animals have always been there. However, due to chronic illness, I could no longer continue my studies in this thing I loved so much. So I found another way to incorporate it in my life, art. 

​

After a lot of preparation, I started selling my own products on some fairs. I made them from home, first drawing and painting them. Then designing the actual print, sticker or button and even making the actual product I did from home in the living room. However, my illness caught up with me and also financial I had no backup since the government was not supporting me. So I had to dial back on the selling part. I never stopped making art and by the end of 2019, I was preparing to start an online shop and a Patreon.

I hope Des Illustrates will continue to grow in the future and will bring nature and joy to many people and homes.
